Crunch Tax Services LLC was formed in Austin, Texas in April 2010 when it was seen that larger public accounting firms had a lack of firm client connections, relationships, and a lack of high customer service. Client service and building relationships with our clients is the main focus of Crunch Tax. The company started with a few clients, and since inception has grown to a base of slightly over 120 clients. The company focuses on providing services such as bookkeeping, tax preparation, and tax consulting in an efficient, timely manner and providing the best possible price.
Joseph Werle has been with the company since the beginning. He was born and raised in the Houston area and lived there for most of his life. Joseph obtained a BBA/MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas and continued after graduation to obtain a minor in accounting. Joseph was a former assistant treasurer for a non-profit and worked as an accountant and tax preparer with various accounting firms in Houston for over 9 years until he moved to the Austin area in July 2013. Joseph also worked for the State of Texas for approximately 3 ½ years and as a Senior Accountant with a non-profit in Austin. Joseph enjoys going to live concerts, traveling the world, wine tasting, and going out on the lakes in the summer months.
Carlos Chacon has been with the company since 2014. He has experience in marketing and advertising. His role with is social media outreach, strategic business development, and client satisfaction. With his knowledge, Crunch Tax has grown to over 100 clients in the last few years and is expected to keep growing. Carlos earned his Small Business Development Certification from the City of Austin in February of 2014. He also has an MBA degree from the University of Texas. He is originally from Venezuela, and spent most of his youth in Miami, FL. He moved to Austin 9 years ago. He likes to spend his free time playing tennis, traveling to new destinations, and cooking new cuisines.
